Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over 8 weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. A great place to meet new people and share your point of view. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common:
Sitting around a table enjoying good food has a way of bringing people together! It's no different at Alpha. We start each evening with a meal and coffee and drinks all provided free to you. A great way to get to know one another!
Each talk at Alpha is designed to engage and inspire conversation. Using the NEW Alpha Film Series we hope to explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity. From Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?
Probably the most important part of any Alpha! We believe that everyone should have the chance to ask questions and share their point of view. There's no obligation to say anything and there's nothing you can't say (seriously). Alpha is a safe and friendly place to hear from others and contribute your own perspective. A time to build bridges! A time to understand one another! A time to make real friends!
Starts 21st January and runs every Sunday at Macmillan Academy 7:30pm for 8 weeks. The venue has good parking and includes disabled access. Fully equipped modern venue.
We look forward to seeing you there… it's still not too late to join in. You are most welcome.
Weekend Session 1: Who is the Holy Spirit?
Weekend Session 2: What Does the Holy Spirit Do
Weekend Session 3: How Can I Be Filled with the Holy Spirit?
The final session of our current Alpha course will be on a morning instead of an evening and will be as part of our Sunday service. If you're on the current course we'd love you to join us for this. If you haven't been on the course and are part of Jubilee, then you get to enjoy the final session with everyone! All are welcome.
