Alpha

The Alpha course is a ten week opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed environment..

We start each evening with a buffet meal to give people a chance to get to know one another. Following the food there is a talk addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith.

Topics include:

  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • How can I follow Jesus?
  • How can I be sure of my faith?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • Why and how do I pray?
  • Does God heal today?
  • How do I live as a Christian?
  • Why and how should we tell others?
  • What about the Church?.

After each talk, we divide into small groups to primarily discuss the topic of the evening, though the discussion tends to be wide ranging and set by the questions that are asked. It is a relaxed forum to ask questions and express opinions. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.

Alpha is for everyone, especially:

  • Those wanting to investigate Christianity
  • New Christians
  • Newcomers to the church
  • Those who want to brush up on the basics of the Christian faith

The Alpha course is hosted by Jubilee at least three times a year in various locations across Teesside.

Our next course is due to start in October.
